Family receives car after naming baby Kia

Baby Kia? No thanks.

Think of the confusion, and the hassle you would most likely face in the future..
At the office:
Parent: "Boss, I would like to take urgent leave to bring Toyota to the doctors"
Boss: "You can always call a tow truck to bring the car to the garage ya know?"
Parent: "Boss, Toyota is my Child".
At the clinic:
Nurse: "Name please"
You: "Toyota Tang"
Nurse:" I beg your pardon? Sir, may i inform you that
this is a clinic,  for sick people, not a garage for cars"
You: "Toyota is my child's name"

Now, now. which parent would want their child to be mistaken as a vehicle model?
I, for one will never name my child after a car. It's just wrong. My kids are exquisite & unique beings. They must not be, in anyway, subjected to the thought that they are just unwanted by products that can be easily replaced - Like a car.

However, if the car, of the question so happens to be one that's sort after,  let's say, for instance, the Pagani Zonda..
Pagani Zonda Tang anyone?

Is Paranormal Activity worth watching?

I would be lying if I were to say that, it was the scariest movie of all time. The fact of the matter is, it isn't.
Forget about the reviews that you read online. These reviews didn't give the flim justice. It gave the flim too much justice.

The story line was very much repetitious  -- It's very much like you showing your daily activity from the day you wake up, the time you sleep, till the time you wake up again. - In the movie, The Camera runs for 24/7 and it follows the couple around anywhere they go, to take any slightest chance of any paranormal activity that 's happening to Katie, the protagonist, who has strange happenings that are happening to her.

And you guess it.. since it's stated as a 'horror' flim. The intensity of the spookings increase over time, till a point it wakes the couple up at night.

Judging from what i have said, one might wonder; Why isn't it scary?
It isn't. Well, as I have said earlier, it's repetitious. Horror flims are supposed to scare the wits out of someone when they least expected it. They are supposed to lure the viewer into a false sense of comfort, then BAM! - the scare.

However, what's happening here is a predictable lot of "spooky" scenes that only happens at night (with the exception of 1 in the day). One can easily predict when these scenes will happen and brace themselves after the first few scenes of days and nights, as it's always following the same format :

Day to night (fast foward of the timer on the vid cam) to night (the timer on the vid cam, slows down to normal clock mode..) and at this point, something happens, then back to day again where they would Gasp from the recordings of the vid cam and back to the night again.

It's very much like in programming, an infinite loop. or to the non-programmer, a story line like this
"there was a boy he was reading a story book and the story went like this: there was a boy he was reading a story book and the story went like this: there was a boy he was reading a story book and the story went like this.: "

After sometime, you will get so used to it that when i ask what's the boy doing, you would imediately respond that he's reading a story book.

It didn't help with grainy camera quality, and shaky hands from micah, the other protagonist of the movie.
However, with a tiny budget of measly USD 11k, one can't complain.

For those who would still wish to watch; just watch the last 5 minutes of the movie.

note: as I type, there have been plans that Paranormal Activity 2 is in the planning.

Will I watch that? No.

Hint: Look at the EDS of the bus, and the surroundings. (it just turned out from the interchange fyi)

Give me a tag :)

Spoiler (high light the text below):
It seemed that the bus ran over and spoit the spoiler. D:  Fret not, a replacement spoiler has been ordered, and it's on it's way here as we speak :D come back tomorrow
Update
If one looks closely, it is not anywhere near Boonlay. To the observant eye, one would observe that the surround buildings do not look anywhere near Boonlay temporary interchange, or the upcoming Bus interchange. The buildings dont look anywhere like it's from Jurong anyway. Next, this service does not go around Ang mo kio.
So I guess it will have lots of puzzled looks for those who live in the North, when this bus stops to fetch passangers.

so yeah. it's a case of epic fail. =]

It's too good to be true..
